Editorial Policy
Who writes BubbleWatch, how the analysis is checked, and what happens when we get something wrong.
1. Who publishes BubbleWatch
BubbleWatch.ca is published by the BubbleWatch Editorial Team. Analysis carries that team byline rather than invented expert personas, because the value of the work is in the data and the reasoning, which readers can check, not in a credential we ask you to take on trust. Learn more on our About page.
2. Sources before conclusions
Housing claims are anchored in published data from bodies such as CREA, the Bank of Canada, Statistics Canada, and CMHC, as described in our methodology. Analysis may disagree with a headline reading of that data, and when it does, the disagreement and the numbers behind it are shown on the page. Opinion is labelled as analysis, forecasts are labelled as scenarios, and neither is presented as a guaranteed outcome.
3. Corrections
Housing data gets revised, policies change, and writers make mistakes. When a reader flags a problem through the contact page, we check it against the primary source. Confirmed errors are corrected in the text and in the underlying data, and material changes move the page's updated date. We do not quietly leave a wrong figure standing because it supports a narrative.
4. Advertising and independence
BubbleWatch may display advertising, including Google AdSense, to keep its tools and research free to read. Advertisers do not choose topics, review copy, or influence conclusions, ratings, or forecasts. Commercial relationships are disclosed where they appear, and the disclaimer covers the limits of the information published here: it is general housing analysis, not financial, legal, or real estate advice for your situation.
